🌐 WebSniffer Update

In this section you will learn about the latest product updates of the WebSniffer project.

WebSniffer is an intelligence platform in the making that is going to track changes on the web and provide actionable insights to its users. The online tool can currently view HTTP response headers of any web page, do domain name, IP address lookups and provides user’s browser information such as IP address, user agent and more.

✨ WebSniffer on Trustpilot

From now on everyone can leave their honest feedback and rate the WebSniffer project on the Trustpilot platform at www.trustpilot.com/review/websniffer.com

🐛 Improving the page load speed

During the past two weeks the development team at WebSniffer fixed a few major bugs. One of them was the page load speed, which in some cases, could take up to 5 seconds until a page was fully loaded. Most of the pages at websniffer.com/ip/* were affected. Now each page takes less than 1 second to load.

🐛 Fixing a bug in analytics

Another bug that was fixed during the last two weeks was related to internal site analytics. With this improvement we now can better monitor the usage of the online WebSniffer service. It is especially important to prevent the usage of the service by malicious actors and spammers and should result in a more stable service operation for rest of its users.

✨ Rewriting WebSniffer

Aside from regular bug fixing and service improvements, our team is working hard on a complete revamp and rewrite of the WebSniffer service on a completely new technical platform. You’ll read more updates about our progress and achieved milestones in the following issues of this newsletter.
